A free tool can still leave you with setup work
A tool that asks for your own API key can leave the model bill with you. An upload-only tool makes you obtain the file before transcription even starts. Try a public link before downloading anything or setting up billing. Here, the form sends the Reel link to our server, and the server retrieves the media and calls its own transcription service. If retrieval fails, the page shows the error so you can try another public Reel without creating a key or downloading a file first.
Background music can muddy the words
Music and dialogue can share the same audio track. Lyrics may sound like dialogue to a speech model, and a loud backing track can mask quiet words. Replay the difficult line before quoting it, especially when the transcript contains a phrase you cannot hear. Our tool uses voice activity detection to focus transcription on audio that sounds like speech. That filter does not separate vocals from music, so a sung line can still appear in the result. Treat those lines as candidates for review.
A caption extractor stops where captions end
A caption extractor reads an existing text track. If the post has no such track, switch to a tool that recognizes speech from the audio. Our tool looks for a video URL in Instagram’s public embed and sends the retrieved media to a speech model. That path does not require Instagram to provide a caption track. If the embed provides no video URL, the tool reports a retrieval error. Turning on captions in your own Instagram app will not supply that missing video to our server.
